Jake Dorton was third overall, followed by Eric Lew who took a minute off his best time. Coming in third for the team was Matt Dorton. Other varsity runners were Lex Grimley, Jon Olsen, Andy Grimley and Shawn Sorensen. Had the boys' varsity been allowed Trent Smith's JV time, they would have placed second. Last year the boys finished tenth in this invitational. Lehi High School's cross country girls' team ran away with the Mt. Pleasant invitational meet last week. They beat 10 other schools in the process and had a one-tw- o sweep for the top prize. Shae Messersmith continued to dominate her event with a 19:18 clocking. She was followed by Jenni Carter at 19:42 and Rachel Watkins ran eighth to bring home a third medal for the Purple and White. Ninth grader Jamie Elder, Tricia Holly Cummings, Henrie, Resham Morris and Rhonda Ulrich rounded out the winning team.
