Show Obituaries James A. "AT Allen Chris J. Hadlock James Alexander "Al Allen, 49, of Pleasant Grove passed away Saturday, September 6, 1997. " He was bom October 9, 1947 in James Franklin and J .A Laurel, Mississippi to Margaret Gambrell sented the United States in the World Pistol Competition South in Johannesburg, Africa. ' MlllJWl ;w He is survived by his mother of Pleasant ' Grove; and I J 'W s; ; Allen. He married Delna Brown in 1974. They were later divorced. He worked in law enforcement and retired after 17 years of service. He was presently working at Liberty Safe Company in Springyille. He was a member of the Civil Air Patrol and was honored in 1964 to serve overseas in a foreign exchange program. In 1981 he was chosen as one of twenty men who repre- - numerous aunts, uncles, and in cousins Mississippi. He was preceded in death by his father in 1976. Graveside services were held Thursday, in the September 11, Grove Pleasant City Cemetery. Services under the direction of Olpin Family Mortuary, Pleasant Grove. Big Al will be sadly missed by his motorcycle buddies and friends. Mark K. Matthews Mark Kery Matthews, 17, of Sandy, died September 15, 1997 from injuries sustained in a automobile accident. He was born December 3, 1979 in Murray, Utah the son of Kevin Peter and Mary Jo Beck Matthews. Mark was an Eagle Scout and an avid scouter. He enjoyed life. He loved the outdoors, hiking, and climbing. He was the Priest quorum 1st assistant and was an honor student at Jordan High School. He was a loving brother and a friend to everyone, a born leader with young and old, and was known for his extreme kindness. He is survived by his parents and a sister, Marcie, all of Sandy; grandparents, Helen Beck, Alpine, Reed and Betty Matthews, Salt Lake; many uncles, aunts, and cousins who loved him. Funeral services will be Friday, September 19, 1997 at 11:00 a.m. in the Sandy Crescent South Stake Center, 10600 South 300 East, where friends may call Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Friday 1 hour prior to the services. Walker Lucile Allen Walker, 88, passed away early Tuesday morning, September 16, 1997 at the home of her daughter and son-in-la- Janice Highland, she has resided in their care for the last few months of her life. She was a resident of American Fork, American Fork Canyon, and Pleasant Grove most of her married life. Lucile was born September 25, 1908 in Millville, Cache County, Utah, to Albern Ethan and Winifred Oldham Allen. She grew up in Providence, Utah. He served a mission in Florida and held many positions in the church including a counselor in the Elder's Quorum Presidency. He married CeLisa Wathen November 9, 1987 in Orem, Utah and their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Chris worked for C.J. Prestman auto dealership in Sandy where he was a sales manager. He enjoyed automobiles very much and owned his own car dealership in American Fork for several years. He was a very outgoing person with a very positive attitude and personality that made friends quickly each day. He had great dreams and goals and was always doing something to work towards them. He loved traveling and the outdoors, particularly taking his boys for rides in convertibles and the hummer.
