Lewis, late police commissioner, who signs himself a committee of one, appointed by the republican club of Sedgwick county to determine the feeling of each candidate, a letter, in which are tho following two queries: t. The inquisitorial body which has instituted these proceedings is composed wholly of pronibilionisls, who seem to have for their sole aim the retention of the present liquor laws, and who will undoubtedly be found opposing op-posing the republican party at the polls next November. |
