Show MRS PETERSONS DEATH A Worthy Old Pioneer of Richfield Passes Away Richfield April 7Mrs Ellen Mar garot Peterson died at 1115 oclock last night at the age of 74 years She was a pioneer of Utah and of Richfield The demise was caused chiefly by old agevJIlen vJIlen Margaret Koefold was born on Pec 26 1823 at Bornholm Denmark In 1S50 she married Andrew Peterson She was converted to the Mormon faith In 1S57 and three years later the two crossed the sea and came to Utah across the plains with ox teams in Captain Cap-tain Murdocks company settling first at Battle Creek now Pleasant Grove In 1KG3 Mr and rs Peterson cameo came-o Richfield remained here four years I and went to American Fork where they resided until 1871 when they returned I re-turned to Richfield In October 1SS7 deceased obtained a divorce from her husband who now lives at Big Timber ont During the ten Jean and more of separation she I has supported herself solely by her own efforts selling fruit and hay from the lot she owned and milking several cows Some time since she was bedridden bed-ridden six months hut s far recovered j > j to inspire in her friends the hope for her complete convalescence Her final sickness lasted only one month Her funeral is to occur Friday after non at 2 oclock The deceased leaves five children Alfred Peterson Mrs Will Gurr and Mrs Augusta Peterson a widow at Richfield Mrs C C Compton Flagstaff Flag-staff Ariz and Martin Peterson Big Timber Mont I |
