Show Tropic News By Louise Ott 676-8776 The Del and Deloris Campbell family held their reunion at the Tropic Town Park on the July 26. There were 132 in attendance, some from as far away as San Juan, New Mexico. They all had colored shirts, so everyone knew which branch they belonged to and all had a super time renewing friendships and all the fun things that go along with reunions. John and Claudia Niemann attended a family reunion of John's mother's family, Vivian Chris Niemann, at Silver Lake, New Mexico. Bill and Carol Niemann were in town to get out of the heat in Las Vegas. On July 24, Eva Dean Francisco enjoyed watching a parade on television in which her grandson, Willie Mortensen of Parowan, was marching in and playing in the band. Faye Pollock was in Beaver with daughter Kris Williams. She enjoyed a quilt fair that was being held that day. We did get some rain while James and Susie Littlefield were visiting, and it did hamper some of his walking time, but he told me that he was willing to give it up for the rain, especially as bad as we need the moisture. They had a good visit with their mother Sara Littlefield, they plan on coming back in October. Hope we don't have to wait until then for some more moisture. While they were here, James suggested that the big tree in front of Sara's place be cut down as it was starting to split. They had Mate Baugh look it over and he advised them to cut it down. He said that it wouldn't stand another winter, so Mate and son Jason did a superior job of cutting it down. |
