Show Commercial Club Meeting There was a meeting of tho Garland Commercial Club iu the Club rooms in Ittter Bros Block Monday night Feb 26th, for thu purpose ol receiving tho reports of the various committees. Owing to the sickness of W H Howe, Chairman of the Commltee on Constitution, By-Laws and Articles of Incorporation, this commltee was unable to report Intelligently aud were granted an extension of two weeks time In which to prepare said report. Somdnaw members wero admitted. The time of holding the regular meet Ing was set for thu second Monday of each month. A committee consisting of R Bush, W R Vanftcct and M A Bootho waa appointed appoin-ted for the purpose of soliciting membership member-ship and wero urged to do all in their power po-wer to Increase the number of club members. mem-bers. At the Meeting ?f the Board of Governors, Gover-nors, which was held Immedlatly after the adjournment, of the regular club meeting, the resignation of J A Wlxo'm as assistant secretary was tendered by that gentleman hnd accepted. Tho reason rea-son for this resignation as given by Mr. Wlxom was on account of lack of tlmo on his part to attend to tho many duties of assistant secretary, and also on account of tho serious accident recently sustained by him. Mr R L Bush was then appointed assistant secretary to occupy tho vacancy caused by thu resignation resig-nation of Mr Wlxom. |
