The DMH Group, Inc., specializes in new home sales and marketing by including an advertising and public relations package in its mix of services. "New home builders have different needs than a typical reseller," said Debbie Hooge, principle broker. "They have more homes to sell and they need effective marketing, including . The company adapts its fees according to the builder's needs but starts out with a base commission that is substantially less than the conventional resell market. Even with the public relations element added, the commission is still under the typical five or six percent many real estate firms charge to sell newhomes, she indicated. "We usually direct the entire sales program," said Hooge. "We will design a strategy, carry it out an be responsible to pay the costs as part of the program, depending on the commission we negotiate with the builder," she said.
