At the session of the senate Bub committee on Louisiana Louisi-ana affairs, Senator Howe presiding, I Honore, secretary of the Btate of Louisiana, was present with a large packing case and commodious carpet bag, containing the returns of twenty-two twenty-two challenged parishes, together : with tho papers and allidavits attached at-tached thereto. Tho committee room was cleared of all except the reporters and two counsel on each side and the box was opened. It was finally agreed that for the purpose of facilitating tbe examination examina-tion tbe papers oe referred to counsel, coun-sel, who will schedule ail belonging to each parish fur the committee.
