Show I In the first place it was very thoughtless thoughtless' of our student officers body officers to demand that students display their activity j c cards before the they were vere allowed to vote Think of the injustice injustice tice to those who hadn't bought these cards They y had vo voted ed in previous elections Why Thy should they be deprived of their vote because of the sudden whim of the officers And think z r p how ti much more difficult it was for students to vote rote by proxy I Several students in jn the past have been entirely too busy to go gos' gos s' s to the polls In these cases it was an easy matter for a friend f to go cast his ballot for him Then again the constitution says that ever every active college student shall have the right to vote j z- z at any election Why hy should our student body officers all at once be so fussy about having proof that each vote was vas being i V cast by an active college student Lots of times students loose their activity c cards but this of course does not prevent I them from seeing all of oi the football games and other student r V activities Vh Why should the mere loss of their card prevent them from voting r Still another element must be taken into consideration 1 ti r 4 r. r According to the constitution the final elections should have i been in progress last Friday And our student body officers ji had the nerve to thrust only the primary election on us I Altogether i it would seem that the whole whole election was vas wr wrong ng Ii c and our our altruistic friends w were re entirely justified in In desiring P Si to have it postponed once again |
