Show PID Snowed In By Tourist Inquiries - With the department of publicity pub-licity and industrial development facing termination of its activities activi-ties at the end of its biennium, June 30, 1949, tourist inquiry mail, probably stimulated by the prospects of spring, is practically snowing the department under. While many of the letters are routine requests for literature, others demand detailed information informa-tion regarding scenic attractions, highways, hotel and motor court accommodations and costs, prices of food, historical facts, the governor's gov-ernor's autograph, a piece of wood from Utah forests, a stone from Utah's mountains, soil from Utah farms, water from the Great Salt Lake; in fact there seems to be no end to out-of-state interest in Utah judging by the daily mail. |
