Show Volume XIV Issue XX The Ogden Valley news Page 7 August 1, 2007 Announcements (cont. from page 6) Anniversaries Obituaries Lloyd and Judy Fuller Lloyd and Judy Fuller will celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Friday, July 27. Friends and relatives joined them at an open house hosted by their children at their home in MarriottSlaterville. They were married July 26, 1957 in Eden, Utah. He was born April 15, 1940 in Eden. He farmed, worked construction, and was co-owner in Utah Auction Service for 25 years until he retired. He still sells machinery occasionally. She was born June 25, 1939 in Ogden. She was able to stay home and raise their children. She then worked at Cutter Lab, and later in the luncheon for Weber County schools until she retired. They like to travel, camp, and spend time with their family. Their children and their spouses are Brenda Lloyd and Judy Fuller and Craig Holley, Jack C. Fuller, Bradley K. Fuller (deceased), Matt Fuller, Jeff Fuller, Bryan K. and Tami Fuller, Jody Burke and Jody May Fuller. They have 14 grandchildren (one deceased) and two great-grand-children. Obituaries Shawn Jerry Ryan Shawn Jerry Ryan, 31, passed away July 14, 2007 due to injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident. He was born February 25, 1976 in Ogden, Utah. Shawn Ryan Shawn lived most of his life in Roy, Utah where he attended Weber County Schools and graduated from Roy High School in 1994. Shawn married Jamie Lynn Jackson May 27, 1995. They are the parents of two children and were later divorced. Shawn married Jenny Ann Simpson October 8, 2003 in Cancun Mexico. Shawn enjoyed the simple things in life. He enjoyed spending time with his children, and supporting them in their sports, dance, and school activities. He liked riding horses and backpacking in the Uinta Mountains. Shawn was an excellent cook and grilling for family and friends was his specialty. He enjoyed walks on the beach, good movies, and traveling to new places. Shawn was a tile-setter by trade. He enjoyed sharing his talent for improving the homes of his family, friends, and Habitat for Humanity. Shawn is survived by his parents, Jerri Lyn Petersen Ryan and Donald Lee Ryan of Roy; his brother Eric Ryan of Salt Lake City; his sister Michele Ryan of Roy; his daughter McKenna Ryan age 11 and son Christopher Ryan age 7 of Roy. He will be greatly missed by his partner in life Jen and her daughters Jorden Simpson age 11 and Makala Simpson age 10 of Liberty. He is also survived by his niece Mekall and nephews Jacob, Cameron, Zach, and Carter. Shawn’s family would like to thank Shawn’s friend and co-worker Chad Drumm for all his help and support during these difficult days. Graveside services were held Thursday, July 19, 2007 at the Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd. Ogden. A memorial gathering for family and friends was held earlier that day at Myers Roy Mortuary, 5865 S. 1900 W. prior to services. In lieu of flowers donations would be appreciated for funeral expenses and his children. William Earl Cherry William Earl Cherry, age 85, of Roy, Utah died July 23, 2007 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born July 5, 1922 in Ogden, Utah to William Leon and Lydia Mina James Cherry. He married Bertha Neeley March 21, 1942 in Malad, Idaho. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Logan Temple on October 5, 1960. William served in the Army in the European Theater during WWII. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Roy 13th Ward. He had been a temple worker in the Ogden Temple Baptistery, was a Seventy and High Priest Group Leader, and held numerous other callings. He ran and operated a boat shop and cultured marble shop. He retired from HAFB after 17 years. He was a Mr. Fixer and inventor with a creative mind. He enjoyed practical jokes, camping, hunting, fishing, ATV’s, gardening, and building things. He entertained his children and grandchildren with his many stories. He is survived by his wife Bertha; children: Mina (Lee) Jarman, NE; Earl (Michelle) Cherry, Eden; Sheldon (Camille) Cherry, West Haven; Denise (Grant) Hayes, Roy; Lisa (Robert) Brant, William Cherry MI; Louise (Bill) Warkentin, Roy; 19 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren; a sister Geraldine Olsen, Ogden; and four brothers: Ardell Lenhardt, CO; Dean (Linda) Lenhardt, CA; Gordon (Shirley) Lenhardt, CA; and David (Alice) Lenhardt, AZ. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Eddie Lenhardt, and greatgrandson Nemo. Special thanks to Dr. John Wood, Tammy, Raelynn, Eileen, Lesa, Marcus, and John Zizumbo with IHC Homecare Hospice. Graveside services with military honors were held Saturday, July 28, 2007 at Washington Heights Memorial Park.
