Jeff Mosdell, representing Mosdell Mortuary, requested financial help for an indigent burial. The Commissioners will review this at the budget opening. Mosdell also asked that the county consider increasing the indigent budget. The mortuary is working on a policy and would like to work with the county. Boon Robertson gave an update on the county jail income and expenditures. Due to legislative cutbacks and early releases, every jail in the state is experiencing cuts. Kane was cut from 11 to seven state inmates. This is a loss to the county of $38 per day for each state inmate. Robertson reported that some counties were cut more than Commissioner Spencer reported that the existing work is not up to standard on the Movie Ranch Road on Cedar Mountain. It is a main thoroughfare and access to other subdivisions. Spencer said it needs to be a planning and zoning issue for We need future to pursue a legal right of way.
