Show SOCIETY EVENTS 0 the married peoples dance given by the Kinder kindergarten garden club at the academy of music tuesday evening was the initial number of a series of 0 dancing parties and a most delightful affair invitations had been issued for this number but it is not the intention to continue that practice tee season tick ets are being offered for sale at the rate of 3 for tour four numbers these thes e dances are being given tor for the purpose of 0 raising funds with which to 10 operate the public play grounds at the party tuesday evening the hall was kastely decorated with paper figures featured in mother goose rhymes and booths were erected in the east corners of 0 the hall where refreshments were served and season tickets were sold respectively the refreshment booth avas awas presided over by little misses phyllis call roma christensen gladys tyson who were dressed in costume to represent red riding hood mother goose and little bopeep the ticket booth was arranged to represent the public play grounds in miniature and was presided over by mrs D W henderson and mrs kirke martin each purchaser of a season ticket was decorated with a pasteboard cut in the figure of a child and hearing bearing the inscription 1 I boost tor for the play grounds A big crowd was out and many of the old time dances I 1 were introduced with the result that a jolly evening was enjoyed the dates tor for the balance of the series will be february and march ath and the civic improvement club held its regular monthly session yesterday afternoon at the homed home of mrs E IV dunn Rep reports oits were made by mrs J W peters chairman of 0 the committee appointed to wait upon the stake pre presidency and proffer the assistance 0 of the club in beautifying the tabernacle grounds and by the committee having in charge the annual ball mrs peters reported that the club could render excellent service in it providing the lighting system for the tabernacle grounds A splendid talk was given by supt bupt C H skidmore who outlined the educational campaign which will be conducted box elder county on the and ot of february the club decided to support the movement and a meeting ot of all clubs will be called tor for the burp purpose ds e of 0 discussing the part woman Is to play in the campaign the special feature of 0 the meeting was an address by mrs A J gorham prominent club woman of salt lake and former president of the state federation er era tion atlon who told of the activities or 0 the Y W CA in the great world war and the part this organization will play in peace times A vocal solo by mrs 0 C jacobsen with piano accompanied by miss vera preston completed program refreshments were served under the direction of 0 the committee composed ot of mesdames E W dance as a benfit tor for the public play grounds the dance will begin at and admission will be 10 cents light refreshments fresh ments will be sold and all children are invited to be present 0 last
