A Bear Story Fish Tale Neither Stan Wangsgaard nor LeMoyne Hislop got it quite right about the bear story. John Hislop spotted the bear by the side of the road down at the Oaks while Bud Carver and his son Larry came along and stopped. The bear was old, blind, and feeble. It was discussed how to get it and Larry Carver ended up roping it and he and his dad Bud loaded it in the back of John’s truck. The bear took a swipe at Bud and he ended up with a nasty cut on his finger. John never got out of his truck. The bear ended up in Huntsville where John called the StandardExaminer. They came up and took a picture of John and the bear. He also told them that the bear had killed one of his colts. John was a wonderful storyteller, but sometimes he changed the facts just a bit to make story a bit more exciting. the 7 Utah enti of Wildlife Resources Conservai on Officer removes bullet from poached e.elke Anyone interested in learning CPR - Adult, Infant, or Child please call Shanna at 745-2688 or Jeannie at 745-2879.
