Young and son Grant, motored to San Francisco where they met their son and brother, Elder J. Lowell Young who has just returned from a mission for the L. D. S. church at New Zealand. After meeting their son on August 18, the Youngs motored to Los Angeles where they visited at the home of Mr. and Mrs. H. W. Stokes, a sister of the mis- sionary, and at Pasadena with Mr. and Mrs. S. E. MacMillen. They stopped enroute to Utah to enjoy the heautiful scenery at Boulder dam, Bryce and Zion canyon. Elder Young returned to the United States by plane. He visited one week at Hawaii where he was the guest of Mr. and Marlow Thorne, former Mrs. Perry residents.
