Show Teachers Attend Services Held Civil Service Announce lests Pre-Scho- A new stenographer examination was announced today toy the Thirteenth United States Civil- Service Region for filling dn various federal positions agencies in the State of Utah. The majority of appointments to this position will be made at Grade CAF-2- , $2284 a year; however, appointments to positions in grades up to and including OAF-4- , $2724 a year will be made front the eligible lists resulting from this examination. Since the Typist registers for the Stale of Utah contains the names of sufficient eligihles, applications will not be accepted lrom persons interested in typist positions. Applicants for the stenographer positions must compete in a general clerical test and in an actual performance test on a typewriter, and in addition, must pass a stenographic dictation exercise given at the rate of 80 words per minute. Applications for stenographer positions are being accepted by the Regional Director, Thirteenth U. S. Civil Service Region, 106 New Customehouse, Denver 2, Colorado, until further notice, and full information as well as application forms may be secured from the above Denver address or from R. W. Forest, secretary, Board of U. S. Civil Service Examiners at the Brigham City post office. . Dr. Meredith Wilson, dean of deans at the University of Utah, was the main speaker at this meeting. A session for all general teachers was held Thursday at 2:30 in the afternoon under the direction of Alf Freeman, principal of the Box Elder high school. The program scheduled today includes a meeting of the Box Elder Education Association in the high school auditorium at 9:30 with Aroh Sims, president of the association, presiding. At the same time there will be a science building at the high school under the direction of Ru'by Hansen. At 11:00 there will be a general session for all teachers, secretaries, custodians, but drivers, and cooks at which time Dr. George A. Boyce, superintendent of the Intermountain Indian school, will give a talk on The Educational Program of the Intermountain Indian School. This meeting will be held in the high school auditorium, and the music for the program will be under the direction of Wayne Johnson. At 1 oclock in the afternoon the elementary division will meet in the auditorium to discuss the "Physical Education Program, under the direction of Norma Jensen, supervisor, and the Music Program for Elementary Schools, under the direction of Vaughn Wassom, principal of the Willard schooL Entries For State .0 Fair May Be Made Anyone wishing to enter articles in the Utah Stale Fair may do so from September 7 to 11, according to Mrs. Claude R. Barker, representative for state fair contributions from the Box Elder county district. Judging will be held on September 14, and ail of the articles will be on display by September 15. The fair will start on the following day. All entries should be called for during the forenoon of Sep- tember 25. at All blue ribbon winners the Box Elder county fair are urged to enter their exhibits if possible.
