Mrs. I'obertsoh was born in Aberdeen, Aber-deen, Scotland, -54 years ago, and came to Utah in -1882, when she became be-came a resident of Spanish Fork. ' Mr. and Mrs. Robertson are well known among the Scotch people, of V tun, rind have many .warm friends throughout through-out the State Iieceased was a woman of strong, sturdy character, kindly hearted and. charitable. She was a generous friend and an affectionate relative, her many amiable; trails of character endearing her to the hearts of Spanish Fork people. Her faith was that of a consistent Latter Day Saint. Mr. and Mrs. Robertson have four children, two sons and two daughters. The sons are George, who lives in Springville, and Willie, a lesident of Deseret. The daughters are Mrs. John Kay, of Mercur, and Mrs. Willie Douglass, THE FL'SEKAL The funeral services over, the remains re-mains of Mrs. Geo. Robertson were held at i o'clock yesterday at. the First ward meeting house. The funeral fun-eral was a large one, and the services were conducted by R. McKell. Elders Meldrum and Irvine, of Provo. A. M. Buchanan of Salt Lake, and T. C. Martell, of this city, were the speakers. The L. D. S. choir sang several appropriate select ions. FUNERAL OF JOHN KOCKHILL. Took Place Saturday anil was Very Largely Attended. The funeral of the late John Ruck-hill, Ruck-hill, who died at Thompson's Springs last week, was held Saturday afternoon after-noon at the residence at 2 o'clock, and was very largely attended. The ceremonies were under the direction of Hubbard Tuttle. I'.ishop Snell and Prof. Jos. A. Rets were the principal speakers. The pall bearers were six members of the local Binck Hawk-War Hawk-War Veterans, of which organization deceased was a 'niemhr. The veterans in a body marched ahead of the hearse to the cemetery. The procession occupied oc-cupied a space three blocks in length. Many people from Springville, Provo. Parson and other points were present. Mr. Uockhill was a member of the Silt Lake Lodge of A. 0- lr-'W.. which lodge was represented by Mr. Dart, the secretary. Deceased carried an Insurance policy of $2,000 in the order. LOCAL BREVITES. Inveen. residing at 720 Henry St., Alton, ill, suffered with sciatic rheumatism fyr over eight months. The trustees have called a meeting for Saturday. April ti, at 1 p. in., to beheld in the Central school building, build-ing, for the purpose of voting on the proposition to raise certain funds. Polls will open at II and close at 7 i. m. It is estimated by the trustees that a sum of $1,000 with which to meet current expenses, and $1,200 with which to pay outstanding notes will be needed. He was up the next morning ami ate his breakfast as usual. And late in the forenoon, while his wife was out feeding the chickens, he took to violent vomiting and In a short t ime life was extinct. The deceased has been a resident of Payson for some lime.
