Show STATE LAND TvOTlCE. United States Land Office Salt Lake City, Utah, Nov. 5, 1898. NOTICE. To whom it may concern : Notice is hereby given that the State uf Utah has tiled in this office lists of lands selected by the State for Reform School and School of Mines under section 12, of the act of July 10. 1894. The following tracts, embraced in said lists, are in townships containing mineral claims of record, viz : List 12, for Reform School, N W H of S W H of Sec. 13. Tp. 41 South Range M West. List 11, for School of Mines, Lot 7, (excluding N E M thereof) Sec. 6, Tp. 41 South, Eange 13 West. A copy of said lists, so far as they relate to these tracts, by descriptive subdivisions, has been conspicuously posted in this ofiice for inspection by any person interested and the public generally. Within the next sixty days following the date of this notice, under the departmental regulations of November 27, 1890, (23 L. D., 459) protests or contests against the claim of the state to any of the tracts or subdivisions herein described on the ground that the same is more valuable for mineral than for agricultural purposes, will be received and noted for report to the General Land Office at Washington, p. C. Failure to protest or contest the claim of the State to said land within the time specified, will be considered sufficient evidence of its non-mineral character, and the selection being otherwise free from objection will be recommended recom-mended for approval.
