Show WASiirytJTOX. The Rio Yirgen Mills will close down during the holidays. The aged wife of Jacob Hafen died suddenly Wednesday morning at 2 o'clock. She was apparently as well as usual at supper Tuesday evening, but during the night was taken sick. Her husband got up and made her some coffee cof-fee which she drank, dying almost immediately im-mediately afterwards. The funeral was held at 2 o'clock yesterday. Brother Hafen goes to Santa Clara and will remain there over the holidays with his daughter, Sister S. Reber, after which he will return to Washington Washing-ton and reside with Jno. Hafen's wife Justice Paxman's legal mill has been grinding some nice grists of late. Wil-lard Wil-lard Sorenson and a man named Dover from Cedar Were lined $1. and $3. respectively, res-pectively, with costs, for fighting and disturbing the peace. Robert Covington, Coving-ton, Homer Barron, and Henry Averett were brought ud on a charge of disturb ing the peace outside the dance hall Thursday evening. Covington became so unmanageable that it was necessary to lock him up in the county jail here, and Friday morning all these offenders were brought before Justice Paxman, and pleading guilty to the charge were fined as follows, Robert Covington and Homer Barron 20.00 each and costs, Henry Averett 10.00 and costs. The two latter paid their fine while Covington Cov-ington declared he would serve it out, and went triuni.bhantly to the county jail, abusing Marshal YTilkins all the way over.
