This newly organized office will control ther lumber operations located at Fredonia, Flagstaff, and Holbrook, Arizona; Also, Wanship, Utah and Denver Colorado. In the past each operation was controlled individually. This reorganization will entail the transfer to Flagstaff of A. Mlton Whiting, Salas Manager, who has lived in Fredonia for the last 5 years, ajid Orvil Bushman, Controller, who has also lived in Fredonia for four years. The reorganization will also necessitate the transfer or replacement of several of the personnel now employed at Fredonia as office and sales workers. Fredonia Management E. J. Whiting will remain in Fredonia as General Manager. Mack Frost who has worked in the past as shipping Supt. and Assistant Sales Manager will assume the duties .of Sales Manager. Keith Anderson will move to Office Manager upon the transfer of Mr. Bushman. Tom Major who has been employed for the past few months in a training program will now assume the duties of Yard Supt. ' All production at the Fredonia plant will be coordinated by John Babich who recently joined Kaibab Lumber Co. at Fredonia in the capacity of production Manager. Mr. Babich moved here from Mancos, Colorado. All other supervisory personnel will remain unchanged. Second Largest Producer Kiabab Lumber Company is npw the second largest producer of lumber in the Southwest area, with an annual production of 85 millon board feet, employing 416 persons. Their largest plaht is here at Fredonia, which produces 30,000,000 board feet annually. The centeralization of these offices is possible only through the radio newly installed system, which will give the central office in Flagsfaff direct contact with its major lumber mills. The key link in this radio system is across the Grand Canyon from Flagstaff to Fredonia, which Kiabab Lumber Company has been working on for five years. The newly organized central office in Flagstaff will be housed in temporary facilities until the new office building is completed which will be sometime during the coming summer of 1957. two-wa- NATIONAL y Mt. ' ir Kanab Downs Valley, Lose To Dixie Here Wednesday Nite Kanab High school and Valley met hgre last we? k end in one of the finest gatwfs of the season and the Kanab Cowboys finally winning out in the last half of the game to the tune of 44 to 39. Roe Esplin of Valley was high for Ihe evening with 16 pointers. A. D. Findlay of Kanab was close behind with 15. Wednesday evening here the Cowboys went down to defeat the Dixie Rebels who are undefeated in League play. Playing without the services of A. D. Findlay who was injured in the gamelast week, the Cowboys put up a fine defense to hold the Redels to 53 while making 33 points. This is about the lowest the Rebels have mftde during the seasons play. High for Kanab was Steve Peterson with 14, followed by R. Hafen of St. George with 13.
