Show WAS SUNK IN NEUTRAL PORT. Grave Charge Made Against English by Captain of German Ship. New York. The German steamship MatJgeburg, a witness of the naval engagement between the British cruiser Highflyer and the German converted con-verted cruiser Kaiser Wjilhelm der Grosse off the west coast of Africa on August 2G, steamed into this port Tuesday. According to her captain, S. Orgel, the Madgeburg herself was struck by one of the Highflyer's shells after being intercepted while supplying supply-ing coal to the German cruiser. Captain Orgel asserted that the Kaiser Wilhelm der Grosse was attacked at-tacked while at anchor in Spanish waters, neutral territory, without steam up. He said it was reported several persons on board the Highflyer High-flyer were killed. |
