so nchly blessed with and its visual history surrounding us When asked why with all the green lovely mountainous areas there are in Utah they chose this site in Fillmore’s west desert he said “Because this place is ideal W’e need flat space for about 40000 campers water No mountain power and accessibility park have seen can provide this” Ron Nyman Utah National Parks Council Publications Director said “The city of Fillmore has been magnificent to work with The council took 2 seconds to state they would do anything needed to make this a success such as having the access road widened placing power poles erecting the wall etc" Asked whether this might be a site again tn the future he said that the next anticipated Jamboral is ing considered for 2010 the 100th amversary of Scouting in America and that this would be their likely choice He expressed gratitude for the kindness ot Allison Robison in allow ing this 400 acre property to be used Broadbent agreed ith reporters that this was a miracle event He said thousands of hours were put in by many just organizing it then assignments were made and Utah’s 8th largest city (for three days) arose almost overnight The example of discerned that it was also all learning opportunities Lee Greenwood thrilled the Scouts with his songs and stones W hen asked how he felt about performing for Scouts he replied “I picked this because it WAS Boy Scouts can’t wait to hear love the Scouts them holler and yell" Holler and yell they did Greenwood had been a Scout and a leader and gave strong admonition to them to stay true to the Scout
