Edwards were invited to join joir with them and partake of the Christmas spirit On this this' Christmas Eve the family observed as usual an old Danish custom of serving rice pudding which contained one nut to all of the guests and whoever gets the nut receives a prize which is Danish Marzipan in the shape of a pig One evening David prepared a Danish luncheon and served it to as many of the Satur- day and then drove to Brigham and visited with more friends and looked after their home there They went to Logan and visited with Lynn Olsen and f family mily and drove to Salt Lake City on Sunday for a family get together at the home of Mr and Mrs Max Rose Allred AUred and family where they had dinner the evening of New Years Four Blacks and one Gray Stan Ruby Kenneth and Teena and Wayland spent two wonderful wonder wonder- ful days after Christmas at Park City skiing They stayed with Stans Stan's folks in Salt Lake City overnight They report the skiing was excellent but it was bitter cold There was a train load of people from California who had come to enjoy this famous resort resort resort re re- re- re sort as well as people from many of the states throughout the country Ruby said the hill was just black with people and everyone seemed to be having a good time A lovely Christmas was spent at the Ray Bienz home and the children were delighted to have their grandfather Bienz with them for a few days After Christmas Mrs Bienz and the children spent a week with her parents in Geneva Ida Lois also spent a day and a half with her brother in Afton Wyo while the children stayed with their maternal grandparents Ray became a little lonesome keeping the home fires burning so he drove to Idaho and brought the family home late Sunday On Christmas Christmas eve eve all of the the Howard Larsen family except their daughter Betty and her family were at the home of their son John and his family in San San- dy Grace and Larry were al also o present to enjoy the festi family came to Ephraim to sleigh ride They said the hill here is so fabulous that they feel it should really be They state they are coming coming coming com com- ing back as it is far superior to any hill or sleighing in their area |
