N Hansen Funeral services were held on Tuesday afternoon in the Ephraim Ephraim Ephraim Eph- Eph raim North Ward Chapel for Mrs Sarah Olsen Hansen 86 widow of J. J N. N Hansen Hamen and former former former for for- mer Ephraim resident Mrs Hansen died at am a.m. Dec 30 in a Salt Lake nursing home of causes incident to age An immediate cause however was a fall three weeks earlier in which she suffered a fractured pelvis She was first taken to a hospital and later transferred to the nursing home for care Up until time of the fall she had seemed in unusually good health relatives report and had enjoyed enjoy enjoy- ed a family Thanksgiving get- get together at the home of a grandson grand grand- son Douglas She was born April 17 1880 in is Spring City to Fredrick and an Matilda Jensen Olsen the child in a family of 12 and spent her early life lite in Spring City and Ferron She was wa married married married mar mar- ried to Joseph N. N Hansen of Ephraim Ephraim Ephraim Eph Eph- raim Nov 22 1899 in the Manti ManU Man- Man ti U Temple They operated a confectionery store later a prosperous prosperous prosperous pros pros- store and then thena a furniture store which was sold to the at the time of Mr Hansens Hansen's retirement He died Jan 13 1963 Mrs Hansen was an active church worker serving as ward Primary president a counselor in the stake Relief Society presidency presidency presidency dency and a visiting teacher for many years She was also active active active ac ac- ac- ac tive in the Ladies Literary Club and Daughters of Utah Pioneers The Hansen home was always open to visiting Church and civic leaders on visits to South Sanpete and scores of them were entertained there She was the mother of four children two of whom died in infancy and a son Donald J.
