Show HOLDEN WINS HOLDEN MINE special to the mining review seattle wash oct 20 the supreme court of washington has handed down a decision that J H holden is the owner of the entire holden mine located in the lake chelan country in central washington and that he is entitled to the entire proceeds from the sale of the property to jay P graves of spokane and his associates the decision means to holden and a corresponding loss to W S denny of settle seattle who sued for a half interest in the property holden and denny were formerly the closest of friends they were on a hunting trip together in the district eleven years ago and denny turned over his share of the provisions to holden to go on a prospecting PC eting trip the result of that jou journey aney and grubstake was the discovery of the famous holden copper mines it was a hard property to develop and finally holden made a deal with the graves people whereby the latter assumed control of the property denny filed suit for his interest in the mine a year ago and the supreme court ruled that a man who waited ten years to assert his interest can hold hald no valid interest in the property |
