Giles, one of Sprlngville's old and respected settlers, passed quietly away over the dark river of death Tuesday afternoon, the cause of death being heart failure Geo Giles was OS years old, being born In 1830, at Wield, Hampshire, Eng land. He came to Sprlngville in the year 1808, and has ever since been resident of this city. He leaves wife and several grown children. She was bora in North Carolina and raised in Tennessee. She came to Utah in 1850 and embraced em-braced the Mormon church, of which sho remained a member until her death. In 1883 she moved to Arizona and in 1S90, when she had passed the century mark, again returned to Utah, making her residence at Mapleton and Castledale. She was the mother of fifteen children, and survived all hut three. She had been married five times, first at the ago of 14 and lastly at 93, and outlived all hsr husbands. Nearly all the boys who have been working at Soldier Summit on the grade have come home, as the work is nearly completed. Pace of Spanish Fork, who was arrested and taken to Randolph, Utah, to answer to the charge of horse stealing, plead guilty to the charge of larcency in Judge Harts court Friday, and was sentenced to 13 months in State prison. Her assistants are well known musicians, and need no introduction to Springville people. Springville will contribate to the entertainmeut some of the best talent tal-ent the city affords.
