Robert and Joy Lloyd Were married on may 28th, 1957 in the Salt Lake Temple. They have lived all there married life in Pleasant Grove Utah. They have raised 6 children Sherry (Dennis) Hopkinson, Sandy (Scott) Jasper, John (Michelle), Larry (Vicki), Julie Ju-lie (Travis) Thornton, and Nathan. They have fifteen grand children, and 4 great grand children. i Robert retired from Alpine School District after 33 years. Fie has been serving in the scouting scout-ing program over 30 years. He loves to cook in the dutch oven, and is famous for his dutch oven bobblers. He is currently doing dutch oven catering, and will be featured on a channel 5 segment with Rob Zundell on June 2nd. Joy worked for Bailey Manufacturing for 10 years, Good time video for 10 years, and Z.C.M.I for 3 years. She has served in several church callings. She loves to sew, quilt, knit, and crochet. They have dedi- A it V" A cated their lives to their family, and in doing service unto others. The family is honoring them with an open house on Sat. June 2nd from 4 to 6 p.m. With a special spe-cial program at 5:30. It will be held at their ward house on 425 E. 500 N. in Pleasant Grove. Everyone is invited to attend. Kyle Gurr, Dallin Steele Good friends Kyle Robert Gurr (on the right) and Dallin Curtis Steele have attained the rank of Eagle Scout and were honored at ari Eagle Court of Honor last Sunday, Sun-day, May 27. 2007. Kyle, son of Tim and Mary Gurr of American Fork, is a Yenture Scout in Troop 811, sponsored spon-sored by the American Fork 26th Ward. For his Eagle project, Kyle oversaw stamping identification on 1.200 new chairs for the American Ameri-can Fork North Stake Center. Kyle just concluded 10th grade at the Utah County Academy of Sci ences, and enjoys growing exotic plants, playing the piano, origami, and reading. Dallin, son of Mark and Peggy Steele of American Fork, is a Varsity Scout, also in Troop 811. For his Eagle project, Dallin raised over $800 for the purchase of 15 trees for the American Fork Cemetery, and organized volunteers volun-teers to help plant them. He also just finished 10th grade at UCAS, and enjoys reading, working on the school yearbook, playing the piano, and leadership opportunities opportuni-ties in Scouts and church. He served as the Editor-in-Cheif of The Law Review and was in the top of his class. Jeff extends his heart felt appreciation to all those teachers and professors who helped, prepare pre-pare him for higher education as he attended BYU, Pleasant Grove Jr. and Sr. High Schools and Manila Ma-nila Elementary School. Jeff and his wife Jesica Gardner Gard-ner Makin will move to Portland, after he sits for the California Bar Exam, where he will work for a year as a federal judge clerk. Auston Davies Landon, Austin, Garret Pliler Elder Auston Lewis Davies, son of Wayne and Deri Davies of Alpine, has been called to serve in the Nebraska, Omaha LDS Mission. Mis-sion. He spoke in a sacrament service ser-vice on Sunday, May 27, 2007 in the Alpine 10th Ward. Elder Davies will enter the Missionary Mis-sionary Training Center on June 6, 2007. Three Alpine brothers; Landon-18, Landon-18, Austin-16, and Garret-14, sons of David and Kathy Pliler, have simultaneously earned the rank of Eagle Scout. Yea! For their projects, Landon and volunteers assembled 44 first aid kits for the class rooms of Tim-berline Tim-berline Middle School . Austin organized the painting of nearly 800 feet of curbing, repaired and refurbished benches, and installed 3 new metal benches at Alpine Elementary. Garret's project entailed en-tailed sanding, staining, lacquering, lacquer-ing, assembling 200 wooden, toy cars for "Tiny Tim's Toy Factory" which were then sent to children in Third World countries.
