Show Thursday, May 31, 2007 NORTH COUNTY NEWSPAPERS Page 17 Obituaries Elhia Hunter Ross Our sweet wife, mother, grandma, grand-ma, and friend, Elma Ferl Hunter Ross, passed peacefully from mortality mor-tality on the morning of May 22, 2007. She was a stylish, petite, and gentle woman who loved her family fam-ily and her home. Elma was born October Oc-tober 23, 1922 in American Fork, Utah to Elmo A. and Ferl Pulley Hunter. The third of six children, she lived all of her life in American Fork. She married her one true love, Athol "Hap" Ross, in the Manti LDS Temple on December 16, 1941, and with him raised three daughters: Bonnie Jean, Jerry La-Nae, La-Nae, and Maria Kay. Shortly after the birth of their first child, Hap was deployed to the European theater where he defended freedom and democracy in England, Germany, and France. In his three-year absence, Elma supported their daughter as a professional seamstress a vocation voca-tion she developed and perfected early in life. Over the years, Elma attracted many loyal customers who appreciated the exquisite detail and care she put into her creations wedding gowns, uniforms, clothing, and home decor. Today her grandchildren hold dear the customized dolls and heirlooms created especially for each. Shortly after Hap's return from the war, he and Elma purchased pur-chased their home on East Lane. Together they created a warm and pleasant haven for their children chil-dren and grandchildren. Throughout their married life, Elma also enjoyed traveling. She and Hap logged many miles touring tour-ing the Western states in their fifth-wheel She especially loved visiting family in California, Washington and Idaho. Elma's brothers, Richard (Dick) and Don, embraced her at the veil on Tuesday morning, along with her parents and many friends. Those of us who remain will forever for-ever love and cherish her memory, memo-ry, until our joyous reunion: her adoring husband Hap; daughters Bonnie Jean (Ron) Cook; Jerry La-Nae La-Nae (Val) Roberts, and Maria Kay (Randy) Taylor; siblings William (Bill), Vivian Turner, and Marilyn Littleford; 13 grandchildren; and 33 great grandchildren. We invite you to join us in honoring Elma's life at a special viewing at Anderson & Sons Mortuary, 49 E 100 N, American Fork from 6 to 8 p.m. on the evening eve-ning of Monday, May 28. We will also gather at 10 a.m. on Tuesday morning at the American Fork 6th8th Ward Chapel, 320 N 100 E, prior to the service which begins at 11. Get the polyp Get the cure I-8OO-ACS-23V5 or cancer.org John Bianchetti v Y John, Johnny, Bianchetti, loving husband, grandfather and friend passed away Tuesday May 8, '2007, after a brief but brutal bru-tal struggle with metastatic meta-static lung cancer. A convert to the IDS church, Johnny enjoyed en-joyed honoring honor-ing his Priesthood Priest-hood and serving oth ers, especially through his exception musical talents, mainly drumming. A graveside memorial service was held at the Lehi Cemetery on May 14, 2007. Those assisting in the service were members of the Lehi Northlake 2nd Ward, where Johnny had lived for less than one year, the Lehi Rotary Club and many friends and neighbors. Born in Newark New Jersey on July 5, 1950, Johnny spent much of his adult life pursuing his musical musi-cal career. The highlight of this career was playing in New York's Carnegie Hall. He met his wife, Charlotte, in Nevada and they were married on July 5, 1997. He joined the LDS Church in 1999 and they were eternally sealed in the L.A. Temple on October 14, 2000. Johnny played his music on the piano and guitar, as well as the drums. He taught and formed a Youth Band in Arcadia named the Righteous Rhythms. He leaves his wife of almost 10 years, Charlotte, her two children, Cynthia Woodruff and Jeffrey Evans Ev-ans and three grandsons: Andrew, Zachary and Noah. He also leaves behind an extended family who loved him dearly. He was born June 10, 1919 in Wallsburg, Utah Jo William Wil-liam and Elva Mae Lamb Boren. He attended at-tended grade school and high school in Heber, Utah. He operated a Shell Service Ser-vice Station in American Fork for several years. Carl married mar-ried Joy Irene TidwelL Oct. 2, 1940 and was later sealed in the Provo Temple. He served his country in the Army Air Corp. during WWII. He was employed at Geneva Steel for over 30 years as a crane operator. He was an active member of the American Legion and served as a commander. He loved dancing, bowling, hunting, fishing, baseball, base-ball, sweets and his grandchildren. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Survived by his wife, Joy, daughters Bonnie (Dale) Carroll, Betty Lee (Richard) Merkley, a son Jerry, (Laura Lee) Boren, and 16 grandchildren. Preceded in death by his parents, and 5 brothers: broth-ers: Leo, Othell, LaMar, Vern, and Keith. Funeral Services were on Wednesday May 30, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. in the American Fork 6th Ward, 300 North 100 East. Friends called Tuesday, May 29 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Anderson & Sons Mortuary, 49 East 100 No. American Fork and Wednesday at the church from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. Burial in the American Fork Cemetery.
