evanston to celebrate abig A alg celebration will be held pioneer day july in the town of evanston wyoming in honor of the th pioneers who crossed the plains in the year 1817 1847 and who made it possible for this part of the country to be settled and peopled far sooner than was waa expected by the government of the united states under the able leadership or of brigham young the small company of mormon pioneers cis after many severe trials lind and hardships entered the salt lake valley july 1847 at which time those famous words were uttered by that great prophetic leader and pioneer brigham young THIS IS THE PLACE it may be of interest to the people of evanston and surrounding country to know tit that it on july 1847 brigham young and ills his company of pioneers camped at the needles back of the wright ranch on yellow creek and required twelve days time to make the trip to the salt lake valley A pageant portraying some of the important events of the trip from nauvoo i to the salt lake valley will be given by the children of the arl primary and religion class associations under tinder the able leadership of irene bodine and clara mills and associates this promises to be a real treat for the people of evanston and vicinity and will commence the days entertainment some real entertainment m ent liaa has been provided and the following will make up tip the pr program for the day viz the program will commence prompt ly at I 1 at the city park and no admission charge will be made at the city park pageant C COME WN I 1 R COME Y YE P SAINTS at 1 P M racing and contests for children and women baseball game at city park ev inston vs fast team from salt lake city at P M races and sports of all kinds hinds ana descriptions for the adults following the ball game grand ball in the evening at the p hall 9 P 31 to I 1 A M many good and different races hate leen een planned for the men women and children and will give some good entertainment to the spectators rood music will be provided and anal plenty of good eats at the concessions A most cordial invitation lq Is ed the people of county to attend this celebration OF JULY COMMITTEE
