Show A SINGULAR INCONVENIENCE. It is somewhat extraordinary, but nevertheless true, that there are frequent intervals, both in summer and in winter, when citizens of Logan experience considerable delay and difficulty in obtaining fuel, either coal or wood. It often happens that parties in want of coal, are disappointed at finding none for sale in town, and as to firewood, it is becoming a very scarce article, rarely exposed on the streets for sale, and only to be obtained by hiring a man with a team to go and get it. That there should be no regular dealers in fuel in a town the size of Logan, who keep a stock regularly on hand, is certainly singular. Here is an opening for some man or firm with enterprise and capital enough to establish a coal and wood yard and keep it constantly stocked. Such an institution is a public necessity, and would certainly be well patronized. |
