Show I REPORTED LEASE OHALTA TRAM Lino Into the Old Camp to Bo He-habilitated He-habilitated and Put Into Active Ac-tive Operation. It was stated last night by what appeared ap-peared to be good authority that Henry M. Crowther, to whose energetic endeavors en-deavors -and aggressive methods the old camp of Alta is so largely indebted, for Its reawakening, had procured a lease on, the tramway between that camp and the outlet Into the valley, and that under him Us rehabilitation and re-equipment will begin at once. Mr. Crowther is the general manager of the Continental Alta company's mines, that have responded so generously to his Intelligent methods, and that have at this time a very large volume of ore awaiting an outlet ouch as the tramway tram-way may be made to provide. Not only this, there are heavy tonnages awaiting await-ing its reopening in a number of other properties, and under reasonable terms the carrier ought to be made self-sustaining before life close of the season, if it Is not made a source of profit. The line Is among the assets of the Klo Grande system, and will, It is said, revert to It after a certain period. To restore the grade, splice down new rails and put It in operating condition, it Is said that Mr. Crowther has had for some time the means at his disposal, and It Js hoped the report that he has captured it Is authentic. |
