Show 125 ASK FOR CANYON ROAD Assistance in constructing a road in Dairy ForJt, 20 miles up Spanish Pork canyon, was sought by a delegation dele-gation from Spanish Fork which presented a petition signed by 125 persons before the Utah county commission Monday. The delegation went to the forest for-est service for assistance when they were told by Commissioners Hilton Robertson, J. W. Gillman and C. H. White that most of the road is in the forest land. An abundance of wood can be taken out of the canyon the commissioners com-missioners were told, and it would be of benefit to cattlemen and sheepmen. The commissioners agreed to match $100 with R. F. C. money to complete a road into the canyon at Spring Lake over which residents resi-dents of Spring Lake haul wood. A committee comprised of Peter Carter, road supervisor, Herman Twede, Glen Cropper and others met with Commissioners Hilton Robertson, J. W. Gillman and C. H. White, asking for aid on the project. |
