Show Mrs. Ed. Wall entertained Friday afternoon at a beautifully appointed pansy luncheon, in honor of her guest, Mrs. May K. Bowman, of Salt Lake. The afternoon was spent in music and cards. The prize, a piece of beautiful hand paintad china, was won by Mrs. D. M. Roberts of Grand Junction. The dining room was decorated in pansies, the table being: lighted with candles. Those partaking partak-ing of Mrs, Wall's hospitality were Myrtle Kelsey and Mrs. May K. Bowman of Salt Lake; Mesdames Lydia T. Winters, D. M. Roberts, Harry G.-Enos, R. F. Campbell and Dr. R. A. Burch. Mrs. Dr. R. A. Burch was hostess Monday nifht at a very unique Slumber Party, in honor of Mrs. R. F. Campbell and a few of her most intimate friends. The ladies assembled as-sembled at nine o'clock and were entertained at cards until midnight, when a delicious luncheon was served, after which music and social chat were indulged in until the early hours, when the guests retired to the "Land of Nod." The hostess treated treat-ed her friends to a substantial breakfast break-fast about eight o'clock in the morning morn-ing before departing for theirhomes. The invited guests included Mrs. Ed. Wail, Miss Myrtle Kdey, Mrs. D. M. Roberts, Mrs. Harry G. Enos, Mrs. Roy F. Campbell, Mrs. May K. Bowman and Mrs. Lydia T. Winters. Miss Margaret Reynolds was host-esss host-esss Wednesday afternoon at a dainty luncheon. The parlors and dining-room were beau: if ully decorated deco-rated with Golden Rod. The afternoon after-noon was spent in music and social chat arid a delicious luncheon was served later. Covers were laid for eight. Mrs. Ed. Wall was hostess Tuesday Tues-day evening at a theatre party at the Melba, in honor of her Salt Lake vis-' itors, and after the theatre she treated her guests to a light luncheon. lunch-eon. The party included eight of her intimate friends. Mrs. Boon Brotherson entertained at a Kensington Monday afternoon at her home, in honor of Mrs. Ray Bowman and Miss Myrtle Kelsey of Salt Lake City, and Mrs. Heber Ivie of Salina. A delightful afternoon was enjoyed by the following Mesdames: Mes-dames: Boon Brotherson, Frank Mansen, H. C. Merz, Edward Wat!, Edmund Johnson, Thomas Drage, Bert Stout, Charles Whittaker, Chris Brotherson, Ray Bowman, Heber Ivie and Miss Myrtle Kelsey. Leonard Seely, Harry Ericksea, Edna Madsen of Salina and Tressa Larsen spent last week in Goose berry, a most beautiful lake resori for camping. During the week they visited sheep camps, entertained travelers and other camping parties, and enjoyed a trip to Ecofield on the j 24th. They returned home Tucsd;y ; evening and all report their trip as a ! most, enjoyable one. A party of ten campers enjoyi d last week's vacation in the Gooseberry Goose-berry valley and they too say that it's the "best ever." Concerts, dancing, rowing on the lake raft, dinneis, etc., were indulged in by this parly j and the one above m'entionec, tie two camps being within two blocks I of each other. The two parties vis-' itod Scofield together, the latter re- maining for the dance there that evening. Those in this camp wr re: 1 Mr. and Mrs. Dr. Tebbs, Misses Henrietta Hen-rietta Jensen, Vern Seely, Larene Whitlock of Ephraim, Venetta Man-sen Man-sen and Messrs. Garner Jensen, Usher Ush-er Winters, Harold Jensen and Leo Ericksen. This party came home Sunday. Miss Marian Larsen was hostess at a pleasant social at her home Sunday evening. Games, music, social conversation con-versation and delicious refreshments made an exceotionally pleasant time for those present. Tuesday of last week was spent at the B. R. Hansen sawmill and thereabout there-about by the following, guests of Mr. and Mrs. A. Merz: Mrs. Hos-tetler Hos-tetler of Salt Lake City, Emil Rut-ishauser, Rut-ishauser, Minnie Christensen, Ida Merz, Marian Larsen and Annie Jo-hansen, Jo-hansen, Luncheon, sight-seeing, fresh air and a pleasant drive made the day a very enjoyable one. Mr. and Mrs. R. Anderson entertained enter-tained Sunday at Rainbow Fishery, in honor of Mrs. D. M. Roberts of Grand Junction. Bathing, boating ane fishing were indulged in. A, delicious de-licious luncheon was served and everyone present enjoyed lounging in the shady green nooks about the place. The party was composed of thirteen persons. |
