Anderson of Rexburg, Idaho was in Mount Pleasant a few hours Thursday and payed a short visit' to his relatives in this city. He is on his way to his home in Idaho having been called to Ephraim on account ac-count of the death of his father. NEW HOMES j J. W. Cherry is building a new home on South State Street a half ! block North of the South Ward Meeting House. It is to be a two story brick with seven rooms, modern mod-ern throughout with up to date heating plant. Mrs. A. E. Peterson is building a beautiful little bungalow just south of the home of N. S. Nielson. It is to be modern throughout and will ' have five rooms. ! Hyrum Fechser is building a fine , little bungalow on Main one block ' and half east of Slate Street. Mrs. W. II. Thain and the Misses Aldyth and Afton Thain of Logan are guest at the home of Mr. and Mrs. W. D. Candland. Dr. Walter Hasler was in Mount Pleasant Thursday for a few hours visit with his father Mr. John Hasler. Has-ler. He only stayed between trains. Autlmell Carter returned Saturday Satur-day from an extended business trip to California and Arizona where he has been selling insurance for the Inter Mountain Life Insurance Co. Mr. and Mrs. W. D. Candland and daughter Ruth of Mount Pleasant, Mr. and Mrs. 0. R. Dibblee of Salt Lake, Mr. and Mrs. W. H: Thain, Misses Afton and Aldyth Thain of V-Logan, V-Logan, formed a week end party at J the Hermitage in Ogden canyon last wed. Mrs. Mary Staker Farnwoith is here from Old Mexico visiting her brother, J. B. Staker and family. Sh e is a very talented lady in poetry writing. She has a collection of poems which she contemplates having hav-ing published in a volume in the near future. She will leave for Idaho in a few days. James Larsen returned home Man-day Man-day from Sweden where he has been performing missionary labors for the Latter Day Saints Mission in that country during the past two years and three months. He reports having enjoved his stay in Europe very much and speaks very highly of the old countries which he has ! visited. j Miss Lu Allen, Music instructor j of the Utah Conservatory of Music, : has been appointed to take up ihe i work of the conservatory at Gun- j nison and Richfield. She will be succeeded by another lady in the j near future who will continue the 1 work of the conservatory in this r j end of the county. |
