neighbor she was a pioneer of this state and this city the immediate cause of her death was an abscess oo on the kidney but she was well along to in years being nearly seventy and general debility ard 3rd 1836 in Ir chester north ampton shire england her parents parenti joined the church ot of jesus jesin chrlot ol of latter day saints in 1840 so she blie was practically pracH cally brought up in that church she emigrated from england in 1857 crossing the atlantic on the ship george washington and traversing the plains lo in captain israel evans hand handcart cart company they arrived in the salt halt lake valley september alth ot of the same year the family settled in salt lake city where they remained until the move south lo in the fifties june 8 IS she ghe was married at lehl lehi to robert L fishburn the ceremony being performed by captala captain israel evans she and her husband crossed the plains in the same fame company and had pulled on the same name handcart from froin iowa city to salt lake a distance of 1300 miles the journey requiring thirteen weeks in 1860 they moved to smithfield alobe county being among the first settlers bet tiers to that valley in 1868 mr fishburn was called to brigham city to take charge ot of the choir and conduct singing classes during the many years year that be acted in this capacity mrs fishburn was his big staunch support she was a beautiful singer she was the mother of ten children ot of whom three sons BOOS and four our daughters are now living and all married she was wag grandmother grand mother to twenty seven children twenty three of whom survive her and great grandmother grand mother to two funeral services were held sunday in the tabernacle at which bp blackburn of the bod ward presided the tabernacle choir
