Show MILLS OF IINI TREAT 3000 TONS The Tribune says: Milling plants erected in the various vari-ous mining districts for tho reduction of ores other than those of tho Utah Copper company are now treating closo to 3000 tons per day. This in crease has been made sluco the beginning be-ginning of the prenent year Included among tho various reduction plants are all of tho latest devices, from the roughing and concentrating tables, leaching, cyaniding, chlorldlzlng, to tho latest phase of oil flotation. Experiments are being made in a few of tho plants in Utah with a new leaching process, but results up to date do not warrant the managements giving out information rolativo to the process. It is still in the experimental experiment-al stago. About six mills in the state are using tho flotation process, two of them using it exclusively and four others using it in connection with other oth-er PJOCCBSOS. Tho new mills, their location and dally capacity in tons are as follows: Tons. Broadwater at Park City 500 Big Four at Atkinson 300 Tlutic Mill at Silver City 300 Utah Leasing at Ncwhouso..,..'.. .300 , Caldo Mining at Frisco 200 Park City mills at Park City 200 The following mills have been increased in-creased the following tons daily: Silver King Coalition at Park CltjvlOO Utah Apex at Bingham 225 Daly-Judge at Park City 50 United States at Midvale 290 The Broadwater mill, to treat tailings tail-ings from the mines of Park City, Btarted operations a few days ago. Tho Big Four mill has been running for several wepks. The Tintic mill will be flnishod about tho first of the year and bo ready for operations. The Utah Leasing company's plant at Nowhouse will bo ready within a few days and will be usod to treat tho immense tailings dump there. By the process which tho company will use it is expected that a good recovery recov-ery can be made. Tho Caldo mill at Frisco will treat the tailings dump from the old Horn Silver mill. Tho Park City mills plant was built to uso the Chrlstensen process on the oros of tho camp, but thus far it has not been as successful as expected. The Silver King Coalition Js adding to Its plant to secure the benefits of the flotation process on lead-silver ores, ino uiun npex at ouiguaui ua& done the same thing and tho same thing is being done at the Daly-Judge property. At the United States property prop-erty at Midvalo tho concentrator has been increased to COO tons of oro a day and tho Huff Electrostatic plant to 100 tons. i |
