Show Funeral Director To Open Mortuary Here Lee Smith has announced the establishment of Garfield County's first funeral home to be located in Panguitch. Smith and his wife Sally, have purchased a home in Panguitch and construction of the addition of the funeral Lome facilities will begin immediately. June 15 is the date set for the availability of services however, construction should be completed in two months. Until construction is complete, viewings will be held at churches or family's homes. Smith Mortuary also has grave monuments and markers, concrete vaults, burial clothing and flowers. Within a year the flower service will be expanded to an "all-occasion" shop. Funeral and burial insurance and pre-need planning will also be offered. Smith was born in Cedar City and grew up in Beaver. After graduating from school there, he attended the University of Utah and went to Los Angeles where he graduated from the California College of Mortuary Science in 1960. He completed his internship under Rube Winterrose of Winterrose Southern Utah Mortuary of Cedar City and received licenses to practice as a funeral director and an embalmer Final examination and approval was given by Neal S. Magleby , representing the State Board of Funeral Directors and Embalmers Mrs. Smith v. as raised in Minersville and also graduated from Beaver schools. She also is trained in the funeral service field. The Smith's have four sons; two living at home who will attend Panguitch schools this coming year. l.i Smith |
