Swim Passes Readied For Pool Opening A year pass to the Panguitch Swimming Pool to be opened by July 4 can be purchased now for a 10-percent discount. Anyone purchasing their passes before the pool opens will receive the discount. Contact either Sheldon Jackson, director of aquatics or Garfield County School District. Regular family passes, which will allow any member of the family to go swimming during the hours the pool is open will cost $100 a year, $75 for six months and $50 for anyone wanting to but unable to come up with the money now, may pay installments of three months. The payment must be paid each month. If a month is missed the money spent will be applied to individual swimming times and the year pass must be bought again. Individual passes will cost $60 per year; $45 for six months or $35 for a three-month period. If one chooses to buy a ticket each time they go swimming prices will be: adults $1, students, 75 cents or children, 50 cents. Special punch cards will also be available with purchase of these. One may go swimming for 12 times for the price of 10. If planning a special party, either family or group, the pool may be rented. One to nine people swimming will cost $18; 10 to 24, $23, 25 to 49, $28; 50 to 99, $36 and 100 and over will cost $72. Lessons will be given at $10 for 10 lessons with two exceptions; basic rescue and water safety and advanced lifesaving, which will cost $20. Lessons being offered are: Regular Swimming Lessons: beginning, advanced beginning, intermediate, swimmer, advanced swimmer, basic survival, advanced, survival, parent-tot, diving, adult lessons and senior citizens swim. Lessons in safety include: basic water safety, basic rescue and water safety and advanced lifesaving. Health classes will also be offered; ladies exercise and lap swimming and open swimming and special activities. The pool will be opened different hours during the summer months than during the winter months to allow students to take advantage of the pool Winter month hours are 6 a m. to 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Monday, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays Wednesdays the pool will be open from 6 a.m. to8a m. and 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. and Saturday 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 9 p m It will be closed Sundays. During the summer months the hours will be from 6 am. to 8 a.m.; 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. Wednesdays (he pool will be open 6 a.m. to 8 a.m., 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 7:30p.m. Saturday hours include 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Also closed Sundays. Lifeguards will be on duty at all times. |
