The Carp scramble is a traditional big day in Brigham City and Box Elder county, sponsored by the Junior Chamber of Commerce with the cooperation of local merchants and staged for the benefit of all the youngsters who live in or can get to Brigham City for the day. The big carp, some of which weigh as much as 25 pounds, will be tagged, with lucky numbers entitling the successful young fisherman to one of the prizes to be given away. And there will be treats for every youngster taking part in the scramble. 'Every precaution will be taken to prevent injury or accident in the Carp scramble, according to Reese and Merrell, although as in years past youngsters will be asked to bring releases signed by their parents absolving the Junior Chamber or any of the individuals connected with sponsorship of the event from responsibility in case of accident. In the other games, Elba beat Grouse Creek by the score of 12 to 6 for Elba to take over undisputed first place and leave Grouse Creek alone at the bottom as Almo beat Malta 13 to 5. The next game, June 18, will find Park Valley going to Malta, Grouse Creek going. to Almo and Strevell to Elba. After these " games each 'team will have played the others once and will then start over.
