Show Bountiful leader elected , president of SLC Chamber t ' .i.v:.:-;.... . I It" The Board of Governors of the Salt Lake Area Chamber of Commerce Com-merce has elected D.N. '-Nick" Rose, of Bountiful, president of Mountain Fuel Supply Company, as chairman for the 1987-88 fiscal year that begins July 1. He will replace re-place H. Roger Boyer of the Boyer Company. The election was held at the Board's bi-monthly meeting on Tuesday, April 28. Also elected to the 198788 executive committee were: First vice chairman -W. James Mortimer, Deseret News; second vice chairman - Leon Harmon, Har-mon, First Interstate Bank; vice chairman, communications Robert S. Fotheringham, Fother-ingham Fother-ingham and Assoc.; vice chairman, economic development - W. Mack Lawrence, Mountain Bell; vice chairman, government affairs -David L. Gillette, Van Cott. Bag- ley, Cornwall and McCarthy; vice chairman, membership - Rhoda W. Ramsey, The Ramsey Group; vice chairman, small business community development - Robert L. Rice, Rice-Melby Enterprises; vice chairman, special programs William C. Vriens, Jr., Modern Display Service. Fred S. Ball is president and general manger. The executive committee members, mem-bers, whose terms begin July 1, 1987, are each assigned a specific area of responsibility. The first vice chairman, who becomes chairman next year, is in charge of the Chamber's program of work, the goals and objectives for the upcoming up-coming fiscal year. The second vice chairman is responsible re-sponsible for Chamber finances. The council vice chairmen oversee the program of work for their individual indi-vidual councils. D. N. 'NICK' ROSE |
