Show To-Night's Lecture. The historical lecture at the Methodist-Episcopal Methodist-Episcopal Church, by Rev. M. T. Lamb, promises to be the clearest, most pointed and conclusive arraignment of the Book of Mormon it has probably ever received in this city. Mr. Lamb has been spending spend-ing the past three months in Constant reading, examining all the leading author-ides author-ides upon the ancient civilizations of North and South America to ascertain how far the historical statements of the Book of Mormon and the character of its civilization agree with the actual facts. "The lecture to-night will embody the results of his careful study upon this subject, sub-ject, Aside from its vital connection with the great Mormon problem, the lec ture wm oe oi special interest and value to all lovers of history. Upon a large I canvass he will exhibit specimens of the characters from which the Book of Mormon Mor-mon professes . to have been translated, side by side with the hieroglyphics actually actu-ally in use upon this continent 1,500 and 2,000 j-ears ago. The service is a union service of the different churches. Good singing and several brief speeches, aside from the lecture, lec-ture, are expected, and the lecture is free All who are interested in Mr. Lamb's special work in the Territory, and every other lover of the truth in the citv, good honest Mormons included, are particularly particu-larly invited to be present.
