Show It might Have Been Worse. . Galveston, Texas, December 7. On Friday Fri-day morning the west-bound passenger train on the Texas & Pacific Bailway was wrecked on the trestlework crossing on the creek nine miles east of this place. The accident ac-cident wos caused by a broken rail. Two coaches went over into the dry bed of the creek, and the sleeper jumped the track, but did not go down. Only one passenger was badly hurt J. E. Loomis, a commercial traveler for a St. Louis house, who was cut under the left ear and rendered unconscious for three or - four hours. Physicians from Fort Worth looked after the wounded. Some fifty passengers required medical attendance, attend-ance, being badly shaken up and more or less injured.. All except Loomis resumed their journey, . |
