Show Stockton Visitors. Captain D. B. Stover, John B. Robertson, Robert-son, George Carter, James Crouch and Alex. Muirbrook, all mining men from Stockton, are in the city among their old- time friends. The Captain migrated from California to Salt Lake in 18G3, as quartermaster of this district. He says he has always made it a business to pass a week or so in Zion each Conference, but this time he got fooled a little by the re-union being held at Logan, and is consequently con-sequently obliged to attend the branch stake of the Third District Court along with a few of the brethren instead. Carter Car-ter and Roberts report Stockton mines looking fine. They shipped 100 tons of Katherine ore this week to J. C. Conk-lin's Conk-lin's mill, and have plenty more coming. |
