A Prolific Potato Mr C F Smith called in the DEMOCRAT DEMO-CRAT office this morning to show what looks to be very much a freak of nature It is in the shape of a large old potato which had been down in a cellar deprived de-prived of light for some months and which is now split open in the center and shows nine wellformed solid new potatoes pota-toes laying like eggs in a bird nest Our agricultural editor not being in the DEMOCRAT was unable to assign Mr Smith any scientific reason why his potatoes pota-toes should lay everybody elses potatoes in the shade in that style and Mr Smith left for the University Duseret to have the problem solved
