Show I U Back Again WASHINGTON March 8 Commissioner Sparks has ordered the restoration to entry of 12000 acres of land in the Reed City Michigan land district which were selected in 1871 by the Jackson Land and Saginaw Railway Company The commissioners in 1885 held that these lands were excepted from the railroad grant by reason of having been embraced in an Indian reservation at the date of the grant and that by the subsequent sub-sequent extinguishment of the Indian reservation reser-vation the lands were restored to the public domain and did not inure to the benefit of the railway company Secretary Lamar affirmed the decision |
