Show 11 JUDGE HUNTERS DEATH lie Dies at the Continental Hotel Yesterday Afternoon John A Hunter who occupied the bench as Chief Juptice of the Supreme Court of Utah prpvious to Judge Zanes appointment died yesterday afternoon at the Continental Hotel in this city of Bright disease of the kidneys He has been suffering with this ailment for several sev-eral years with only short spells of relief re-lief He returned to Salt Lake sometime some-time ago feeling better than he had for years but about three weeks since he was taken sick again at the Continental and has never risen uince His young wife an estimable lady whom he married mar-ried in this city some years ago was by his side when he passed away Judge Hunter was a native of Ohio in which State most of his life was spent He was appointed from Ohio to the ChiefJusticeship of Utah and becoming interested in mines in the West he has made his home in this region since his retirement from office The body is now at the residence of Mrs Hunters father C M Gilberson on First South street East where it will remain I re-main until the funeral arrangements are I made I The many friends of the deceased and I all who knew of him will condole with Mr Hunter in her sad affliction I |
