Show THE OLD OLD STORY The old old story of silly newspaper wrangling is being repeated in the chuffing of the Omaha Herald by the Lincoln Journal Speaking > of a recent issue of the Herald which by the way makes the modest claim that it is every day an original paper different from any other published in the Went the Journal says that it hud only seventeen columns of set tyro dispatches editorial local and reprint In the Journal of the same day and date were twentyeight columns col-umns of telegraph editorial local and miscellany nearly double the amount that the Herald contained and all for the same price The Ilerald In its rejoinder commiserates commiser-ates the readers of tho rural Journal and says The Heiahl docs not bank so much on quantity as quality It employs a stair adequate to the task of properly preparing its matter Competent men go over all copy and boll it down etc It does not use reprint as it has no use for it To all of which and much more of selfglori fication the DFMOCHVT has to say that there is room for another boiler and also for a refining furnace in the plant of tho Herald Children of wellregulated families fam-ilies do < < not jot cry for the Herald If its editorials have the lot cut out by all means bring into equation i < < the boiler and furnace |
