Show I SOME very fresh cuss in the employ of the Wabash Railroad Company conceived con-ceived the brilliant idea of beating the Western Press out of a small ten line ad by falsely representing that he was a subscriber to each paper addressed anton ant-on that plea obtaining the publication of the meaning of the name of the road The DEMOCRAT was caught by the little joker and finds that many of its exchanges ex-changes were also caught This information informa-tion may amuse said little joker but hardly the men who control that road and whom we believe would not countenance counten-ance such a contemptible trick to obtain such small returns in advertising The tone of our exchanges from Colorado all of whom have answered a similar note to that sent to the DEMOCRAT proves that I this brilliant cuss has placed a tough rod in pickle for his road unless the management I manage-ment disowns this mans method of hoodwinking I hood-winking men who have no means of knowing such a trick to be a fraud |
