Show Wyoming Laud Entries WASHINGTON Oct 8In regard to the statement in the recent annual report of Governor Warren of Wyoming that immigration immi-gration and settlement of public lands in that Territory aro being sensibly checked by the severe requirements exacted from settlers set-tlers by the new rules and regulations of the General Land Office Secretary Lamar said today that the records of the Department i showed that for the fiscal year 1886 the land entries in the Territory numbered 3512 as against 2923 in 1884 an increase of 589 in two years the year 1885 showing a corresponding corres-ponding increase over 1884 The Secretary added that there had been a dimunition in the desert land entries which could be advantageously vantageously entered only in large tracts requiring considerabla capital but in the number entries Tuade fay individuals the records show a large increase |
