Show HE WAS HOSTILE TO SPOTTERS I I A Fracas for Which Chris fcarsoii is I IJouml Over I Last Friday evening Mr James Wyatt II against Chris Lar swore out a complaint I sen charging him with a threat to do bodily injury Larsen was arrested and taken before Commissioner McKay for examination and on account of a necessary neces-sary witness being absent the case was postponed until 1 oclock this morning bonds till Larsen was released on 200 ti this morning when he appeared for trial Upon the examination of the complainant complain-ant it was shown that United States Deputy Marshal Collin asked Wyatt to show him Larsons domicile which of course was politely done When Larsen and Wyatt met on Godbe Pitts corner last Friday morning between 10 and 1 oclock they shook hands and passed the compliments of the day The defendant Larsen who seems to have had in mind a little bit of intimidation deputy marshals mar-shals said that James Wyatt had always been a friend of his Larsen then asked Wyatt i he was making anything now to which Wyatt replied that he was doing fairly Larsen said to him i he came around his house again he would kick him out Threats followed and Mr Larsens nurse girl was brought into the discussion Larsen accused Wyatt of spotting which was denied by the complainant after which Wyatt left him and backed up the corer building Larsen Lar-sen followed and stood in a threatening attitude as though to strike and Wyatt told him that he simply answered a request re-quest as a stranger would do and if he wanted to fight to come to the Eighth Ward Square and not make a noise on Main street The evidence of Thomas Bishop W T Ayland Stephen Tucker James Lawson Law-son IT G Park Carlisle and others substantiated sub-stantiated what has already been said I S W Darke attorney for defendant in his closing argument claimed that no assault had been made that Larsen merely threatened iu case his premises were invaded which was not as yet shown and considered no case made out Commissioner McKay in terminating the matter said that Larsen had shown himself him-self a dangerous man from the evidence and he could not do otherwise than require re-quire him to give 2000 bail to keep the peace toward all citizens of the Territory and particularly toward defendant for a term of six months |
